This is shared housing with a difference. Nice Boat offers a river boat, converted into high-quality, environmentally-friendly rental accommodation. The former Thames tank barge called 'Bruce Stone' has been transformed into four spacious apartments, offering a total of 16 rooms, let out on a room-by-room basis.
Nice Boat residents will be able to take advantage of the same great services already offered by Nice Group’s flagship brand Nice Room.

Each unique apartment provides a large open plan living room and kitchen on the upper level, connected to the bedrooms on the lower level.

All tenants will be provided with a stylish, fully-furnished home where:
  • One monthly payment covers all bills, including rent, council tax, water, gas/electricity and communal TV licence
  • There will be guaranteed access for residents to a 24 hour maintenance hotline for gas, heating and electrical matters

'Bruce Stone' is a 44m barge, built in 1964 at Wivenhoe by James W Cooke & Co. and previously run by Cory Environmental to transport gas oil from the Thames Gateway to power stations in Fulham and Wandsworth.
Energy-saving features have been incorporated wherever possible, from zero emissions and low-energy consumption to the effective, responsible disposal of waste.
